We are a group of UK based Muslim professionals from Kerala who got together in 2014 with the main aim of preserving our cultural heritage and values of being Muslim and a Malayalee. We are a non sectarian, non political and socially inclusive group who give utmost value to acquiring and imparting knowledge. We endeavour to promote social welfare, community cohesion and education and to facilitate social, professional and charitable activities within our society in UK.
“And hold firmly to the rope of God, all of you, and do not be separated”
[Al Quran Chapter 3 verse 103]
KAMP was formed out of the passion of a few UK based Muslim professionals who had their origins in Kerala. We are spread across UK, some of us have been here for decades to some just less than a year. The curious and serious amongst us got together and organized an Eid together for all UK based Malayalee Muslims in Oct 2014. It was recognized that there was need to bring together the community to support education and spread knowledge to those who were far less fortunate, with the help of our skills, which in turn lead to new chapter for us in UK- the birth of KAMP.
KAMP UK way of doing charity is simple, and has a massive impact. We make charitable giving affordable and rewardable, ensuring everyone can help the poor and needy by donating. All our projects are carefully constructed and designed to be accessible and effective. They are a blend of emergency support, short-term relief and longer-term sustainable interventions.
